Today

Here and now β€” The circle closes.

πŸ“– Excerpt from Chapter 7

β€œYour pain can become your purpose. This isn't a motivational phrase. It's my life. Every mistake, every failure, every sleepless night β€” all of it led here. To this moment. To these words.”

β€” Chapter 7: Today

πŸ“– Excerpt β€” The 25 Lessons

β€œBuild bridges, not walls. When you stop clinging, love becomes light. Life isn't a straight line β€” it's a circle. And the circle always closes where it began. But you are not the same person.”

β€” Chapter 7: Today (Lessons 23, 12, 25)

πŸ“– More from Chapter 7

Chapter 7 is the hardest to write. Not because the events are difficult β€” though some are β€” but because it requires the most honesty. This is the chapter where I have to look at myself clearly. Without the excuse of youth, without the romance of adventure. Just: who am I, now? What have I learned? What do I still need to learn?

The 25 lessons in this chapter are not wisdom I arrived at easily. They are the residue of failure. Of a marriage that ended. Of a business that collapsed. Of years of therapy. Of long nights wondering if I had made the right choices. Of slowly, painfully, learning to make peace with the answer: yes. Even the wrong choices were right, because they led here.

The most important lesson: resilience isn't about being strong. It's about being honest. About seeing yourself clearly β€” your patterns, your wounds, your gifts β€” and choosing, consciously, what to pass on and what to stop.

The staffetta β€” the relay β€” is the central metaphor of this book. Each generation passes the baton. The question isn't whether we pass something on. It's what we pass on. I want Giulia to receive courage, not fear. Openness, not defensiveness. Love, not performance.
